Polish food is delicious, varied, and – thanks to the country’s turbulent history – a real melting pot of influences. If you’re visiting Krakow, a food tour is a fantastic way to learn about the city’s gastronomic heritage while sampling some of its best dishes. Here’s what you can expect on the Krakow Food Tour.

During the three-hour tour, you’ll sample 3 different street foods all located in the historic city center Old Town. You will be guided to some of the best spots. We will have an alochoholic drink and then wander down to Kazimierz. You get to experience Old Town Market Square as well as wander through the Jewish District Kazimierz. Here will be where we sit down at a highly rated traditional Polish Food Restaurant with a food platter of many different polish foods and then we will try the main courses.

Throughout the tour, your knowledgeable English-speaking guide will share stories and anecdotes about Krakow’s rich food culture. You’ll learn about the origins of popular dishes like bigos (hunter’s stew) and placki ziemniaczane (potato pancakes), as well as hearing tales of famous Polish foodies like Pope John Paul II and Marie Curie. The tour is suitable for all ages and fitness levels, as there is plenty of time built in for walking between stops and sitting down to enjoy each dish.
